Welcome to Journey Into Misery, where I explain complicated comics characters and concepts to the patient and perpetually perplexed Helena Hart.
On this first episode, we decide to start off with something manageable, so we’re focusing on the entire DC Multiverse. Going forward, it’s going to be important to explain what we mean when we say things like “Pre-Crisis” and “New 52” so instead of adding a disclaimer, we dedicated the first episode to covering as much of it as we could.

- Jay Garrick and Barry Allen fight The Fiddler, The Shade and The Thinker in their first team-up, and not The Riddler, The Shade and The Thinker.
- I accidentally referred to Zero Hour as Zero Year. Zero Year is the recent Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo retelling of Bruce Wayne’s first days as Batman and has nothing to do with the Crisis in Time.
- There were a few times during the Infinite Crisis segment when I referred to Superman of Earth-2 as Superman of Earth-1.
